Been keeping a pretty low key the last couple of days, have checked out a few more places but still nothing that has ticked all the boxes.

Weather has improved, almost to the point that you could call it pleasant, and in fact its been almost hot at times, so much so that I wore shorts and a T the other day. Although it is chilly and cloudy today.

Its Vegetarian Week this week (pretty stupid if you ask me). Not sure if there will be a big parade of people in fruit n veg costumes, or a big tofu eating comp - I’m sure they will think of something!

In a win for fat vegetarians the nation over, Mars recently agreed to revert back to a veg friendly receipe after recently announcing it would switch to an animal based whey. Cool, even more chocolate for me!

Last nite saw me attend another gig (how surprising) this time by the band Battles, one of the coolest bands of the moment (well to music geeks anyhow). Playing some pretty crazy rock, Battles were simply amazing - the drumming, guitar work and the samples (yep more laptops, two this time).

Support were equally amazing, some band called Laymay (dumb name) who has me mesmerized but about half an hour the music was just so different.

Went to buy some merch after the gig, the ‘singer’ from Battles served me (didn’t buy anything as they didn’t have my size in the top I wanted). Its kinda cool when the band get behind the merch stall only minutes after finishing the gig.

Oh and good luck to Vaughan for his last day on Friday! Looking forward to that beer in London sometime in June (I wonder if we can find any L’Amores in London???).

Hi Pete - how is the house hunting going ? We had a farewell morning tea for Vaughan today - not as emotional as your departute. Sounds like you are emjoying the music and the weather is getter better. cheers M
