strange spelling huh? they do everything different in barcelona today was gaudi day. his buidings are absolutely AMAZING!! we went to see sagrada familia, his unfinished cathedral. its insanely HUGE...and nuts. we took a bunch of pictures of it that i´ll attept to post. this computer hates me. then we went to see his casa mila, some apartments that he designed, and we had already seen his casa batllo. later today we are going to check out his palau guell and parc guell. he was a genius...and way ahead of his time, and even ours. then i think we´re gonna hit the beach...its a little chilly today though.
last night we went exploring and found some live music that was in a cathedral courtyard. it was pretty sweet. then we made our way to an irish pub where we met a group of older english guys who showed us what a ¨gas chamber¨is, we refused to join in...basically you light cinnamon liquor on fire and using a straw you inhale the fume, then take the shot, and light the glass on fire and inhale again. something i will never do. did not look pleasant. they were really funny though, quite entertaining.
tonight we are going to go
casa batllo
a gaudi building watch a movie and hit the sack early. tomorrow is our last day in barcelona to explore because tuesday we are going on a day trip to the dali museum and his home town. we´re both really excited about that...and it´ll be nice to get out of the city.
anyway. everything is going great. we love barcelona! we´ve seen a lot in the last few days.
