our 2nd to last night in barcelonaour 2nd to last night in barcelonaour 2nd to last night in barcelona

we found this great hole in the wall place, the travel bar. it was a nice break because everyone spoke english
so, we know, it's been a while since our last update. we have had issues finding means of communication in the south of france, but we were finally able to find an internet cafe in lyon. we spent our last day in spain at the dali museum. it was really amazing! pictures are to come....soon if not today. we also explored the ancient city of gerona that day. its beautiful there. it was a great last day.

then we moved on to the south of france, to nimes. we only spent 2 nights there so we could take a bus to the pont du gard. thank goodness too. the people there were so unbelievably RUDE!! we tried to find a place to eat after we arrived there. the french eat at strange times so very little was open. we finally found a cute little place, went in, and attempted to order food...unsuccessfully. as soon as the waiter realized we were american he snubbed us and tended to his cell phone and his other french friends and french customers. we waited patiently before finally asking for a menu. then we were ignored once more. so we threw money on the counter for our run and cokes, minus the rum because we're american, and walked out. we ended up at a mexican restaurant where the food was good and the service was ok. bad night.

the next morning we got up and caught a bus to the pont du gard where we hung out until 7pm. it was an excellent and relaxing day, just hanging out by the river and roman aquaduct...reading and listening to music.

we arrived in lyon yesterday afternoon. we spent the day exploring the roman ruins and some of the city. it's like a mini paris only the people here are extremely friendly, a nice change from nimes. less people speak english but it is still easy to get around the town...we are learning quickly that hand motions are very useful 😊 today we went to a nazi resistance musuem in a building where hundreds of people where murdered during the nazi invasion of france. it was really sad, but i'm glad we went through it. now we are going to an art museum and then to a park that has a zoo....a good way to end our stay in france.

tomorrow we off
