Mendoza

Hello all!! I'm in Mendoza right now. We have Tuesday off so some friends and I decided to take the 8 hour bus ride east of Santiago to Mendoza. It's been really fun the first day we were here, Friday, we didn't do too much because it was late and we were all pretty tired. But Saturday some friends decided to go paragliding so the rest of the group and I decided to go shopping. We went to this big artensian market and bought sooo much stuff!! All the jewerly was soo pretty and detailed, that it was hard to stop. But later that night we met up with another friend and her dad and went out to a rather nice restaraunt and got some of the biggest steak I have ever seen, well at least for one portion. Not only was it delicious, it was cheap, for 10 people and 5 bottles of wine it was $100US. And then Sunday the other half of the group went skydiving so one of my friends and I went to the zoo. I don't think that I have ever been so sad at a zoo in my life. All the animals were in small cages and just pacing back and forth because they didn't have enough room. Towards the end we wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. So after that we were ready to shop but since it was Sunday none of the shops were open so we just ended up going back to the hostel to meet our friends. And finaly today we went on a wine tour on bicycles. Let's just say that the seats were not the most comfortable things in the world, but it was fun. And tomorrow we are going back to Chile. But I muct say that Mendoza is beautiful, it's so nice having trees and greenness around. But it will be good to get back to Valpo. Well I think that's it for now! I'll talk to you all later!!
