Sorry....more tears here. I can't believe I am back in North America..... Venice Beach today, it was 31 Celsius....it was sooo cold compared to the 44 degrees I have been living with for the last few weeks.....I had the goosebumps!!!! A little story about the beach today....I took the bus, (was too chicken to take a taxi by myself in L.A.). The bus gets me most of the way there, but still a two mile walk ahead. So I am trotting along, in PANTS, and a tank top. This guy drives by hooting and hollering, so I am like, oh that's kinda cool, and flattering!! I keep on my trek, when the guy drives by again......and stops his car and waves at me to cross the street in front of him. I was so freaked out. I nervously shook my head no. He waves at me again. This time I turn around and pretend just to be loitering on the corner. He just sits there in his car, sittting there, sitting there, sitting there....seemed like forever, must have been at least 5 - 10 min. Finally he drives away. Not sure what he had in mind but it sure freaked me out, down came the tears!! So ok, I kept on my way to the beach 1/2 way there, I NEEDED SUN!! I find a nice spot in the sand: not too close to the others but not to far either. Aaaahh California sunshine.

If any of you know what a disposable camera sounds like...it is a very distinct "wind" "wind"....."click". I am basking in the sun and I hear it, "wind" "wind"..... "click", and again "wind" "wind" "click". I put my hand up to block the sun and open my eyes. What do I see, but some guy freekin standing there taking my picture IN MY BIKINI!!! Unbelievable. I must have had some sort of look of disgust or horror on my face because he looked like he shat his pants!! We just kinda exchanged looks for a minute I was in shock at what just happened and I think he was in shock that I opened my eyes and busted him!! Then he says 'looking good girl" and continues on his merry way. UnbelievableLMAO!!!

need a hug?
Awww...Rhonda...that must have been scary. I probably would have whizzed my pants and fainted if I would have been there. I am glad nothing happened and that you are o.k. Phew. Deep breath. Ok. Anyway, your trip was AMAZING!!! I am so glad that you braved it, went for it, and had the experience that you did! WOW! I only hope that I have the same opportunity one day! See you when you get home...and maybe when I do I'll throw a snowball at your tanned a$$!!!

This story is hilarious and creepy all at the same time. Isn't it funny that you have just spent weeks exploring far away contries with no incidents and the day you get back to North America you are exposed to perverts galore. I guess you can't really blame the guy if you had the "guns" out though, he he he. I'll keep my eyes open for your picture on the internet.
