So the new year starts off with a fairly fancy ball. It was to be up north of London a bit and held in the Watford Hilton. Full 3 course meal, free flowing wine, a Contortionist, string band called String Fever, awards and a band and DJ to dance to after dinner.
String Fever - awesome band they were 3 electric violins, and an electric cello. Very cool and they played modern stuff as well as making it into a comedy skit. They even had me up on the stage looking the part while all 4 of them played the cello at the same time. I then had to play one string/note at the very end. Very cool. Quite funky violins also.
A lot of dancing was then the order of the night and by that time i had to take my shoes off they were killing me.....so most of the dancing bit was done in bare feet much to everyones amusement. No cut feet and minimal bruises.
By 2am everyone was shooed out to another bar we the guitars came out and a big singalong was in full swing......so not as good as singalongs we used to

have on the cricket tour but still not too bad.....
Back to the hotel just down the road and all tucked up in bed by 430am. A really good night and relatively well behaved as it should be given it was a slightly formal affair but a good time non the less.
