Newport to Plymouth

LobsterLobsterLobster

Lobster for lunch. What can you say? I am a crazy man!
Arrived in Plymouth around 2:30. I asked a police officer how do you get to the rock? I said it a little jokingly and he laughed. I walked down to the rock and looked around. A local said I should walk out on the pier as it is about 1.5 mile walk. I only put an hour in the meter so I needed to keep moving. I ran ½ the way. These rocks shoot way out into the bay I assume intended to provide a wind break for the harbor. When I got back I spoke with some fisherman and told them I need to get back to my truck as my meter’s about expired. They said this time of year the meters are free. Therefore I talked a little longer and decided to eat some seafood. I decided to go for the lobster. Not a big lobster fan, but decided to treat myself. It was $13.95 not to bad, but I think I like steak better. I walked back to my truck only to find a parking ticket. I drove around town and found a parking ticket lady. She said she hadn’t written the ticket, but told me where to

go to appeal the ticket. I went there and told the attendant my dilemma. He gave me a form to complete and I filled it out. He said in about a week the person will decide to void the ticket or not. I left Plymouth about 5:00 Pm. Oh in Plymouth I asked a local what he thought of the rock. He said he has only seen it once and laughed about it. The rock is pretty cool, but it's a littly crazy to think they really do not know if this is the actual rock the pilgrims first stepped foot on, but it fits the description of some earlier writings so they call it "the rock".

Mardi Gras
Jack I am in New Orlins as the locals pronounce it. Having a blast. Probably will be heading to Texas tomorrow. I hope to have an update to the blog today again. Couldn't do it recently because of web site glitches. Back on line now though. Probably will not do America's cup as I assume I would be sitting on sidelines which would not be much fun. I do not have Jim and Hal's address. Rock On! Happy Mardi Gras!
