Yummy Cake!Yummy Cake!Yummy Cake!

I love cake - this is from October at Caroline's birthday!
Wow, it’s seems like an age since I last wrote. I must begin with a few birthday wishes: happy birthday Ailin, Minnie, and Eunice. I hope you had great birthdays! 😊

So what have I been up to? I’m writing this offline, so I’m not sure when I last wrote. But I’ll start from Warwick’s visit on the 18th and 19th of November. We had so much fun! Luckily I had bought some groceries, because the weather on the Saturday was terrible. We ventured out to the cornerstore (aka dairy) for some chips and were soaked through when we returned! Sunday was far more pleasant. We went to brunch at a new café called Ernesto. It was lovely! We then watched the Christmas parade in town which one of my friends was performing it. It was quaint and small-towny, but was pretty cool overall. Sunday night we went to our favourite Mexican restaurant. It was fairly quiet in terms of the crowd, but the was a live guitarist. We stayed at the bar after dinner for a cocktail to watch him perform. 😊 I loved it and I think Boz may have enjoyed himself too.

Last week was filled

with lots of data collection, study, and work. On Thursday, Sylvia and I went to the Art School Gallery and the City Gallery. They were both interesting, although as I am not a huge fan of modern art, I preferred the art in the school’s gallery. On Saturday, I wandered down to the Brooklyn festival and enjoyed some wood-fired pizza, swing-dance performances, and lots of little stalls. It was a lot of fun. The next day I went to the Southern Cross in the evening to see Salson perform and to dance. I met people and made friends, which is a bit late as I am moving home, but fun all the same!

This week has been much the same. A little more work and a little less data collection. On Monday, Caroline, Charlotte, and I went to lunch. It was fun, but sad because hanging out with friends reminds me that I won’t be 100% happy leaving! The weather was crazy. At 11am I walked to the city, enjoying the sunny weather. By 12:45pm, it was cloudy and cold and by 1:15pm it was raining and hailing with gusty winds! Then is started to clear in the evening.

Loving the hat Boz bought me!

I think that’s all I’ve been up to. Selling things, packing, doing a few last things before I go. The same pattern will probably hold for the next two weeks until I leave! I hope you at home are excited!

Your friend almost out of the fridge,

Sarah 😊
