Beautiful background behind the "Box Lives Matter" street collector. There were plenty of street performers and people trying to get a donation.
We arrived safely in New Orleans after some very bad roads on the way in. I don't think I have ever driven on worse roads anywhere in the world than those in New Orleans. I once thought the roads on I-81 in PA, NY, CT were bad, but nothing had prepared me for the roads here. Thought the RV was going to come apart in the pot holes big enough to swallow my pickup. French Road coming to our RV park, Pontchartrain Landing, was the worst! Iron bar-covered windows/doors and graffiti throughout the surrounding neighborhood was its most noticeable feature. My confidence was a little shaken driving in, but the RV park was OK and seemed safe enough. The park was basically a gravel/dirt parking lot in an industrial area, but was only 15 minutes from the French Quarter and the staff there was very friendly. I also had the opportunity to have Safelite Glass repair a rock chip I received on this trip, Wilbert the technician fixed the big chip and when done it was invisible! I wish I had taken pictures of before and after. Anyway, on the way out of New Orleans on I-10 a got a new

chip to replace the fixed one. Gives we something to get fixed in San Antonio.

We were lucky with weather, it was cool enough to walk around with a light jacket and not feel cold at all. Bourbon Street was under construction along most of its length, but was still fun to see. We wandered the French Quarter, had a breakfast snack, drove through the garden district, and enjoyed a walk along a Lake Pontchartrain levy/park. Overall it was a nice visit, now were headed to San Antonio after a stopover in Houston.

The Catholic Church no longer allows folks to walk the 3 St Louis cemeteries. The do allow tour guided trips for $20 each, we skipped the tour.

New Orleans
You were the only ones on Bourbon Street! I think night time might be a little more exciting. :) Maybe you can see Brittany when in San Antonio!
