Hey Ali,

Congrats on going live with the Forum! Thanks for thinking about me to help you out. Seems strange after all these years to come back together as a team again like we did playing Football back in Holt!

To everyone else reading, I'm Mark, aka Savage in the travelblogs. I already work two jobs, so I'll be in and out of here as much as possible to help Ali out (sometimes my work doesn't keep me all that busy... heh). I'm not the biggest traveller, but I enjoy talking about the travels I do take, and sharing my experiences with anyone wishing to read.

I hope everyone enjoys the forums. I know Ali has worked hard on custom making them to fit into the flow of the site, and should be a valuable asset to the site. Congrats Ali, you're doing a bang up job mate!!

So the first post award goes to .... drum roll ...

"anonymous" 😊 Oh well, first registered post to Savage 😊

Sure does 😊 - To anyone that's interested, Mark moved to the US when he was 11 - 16 years later I get an email - "Hey do you remember me?" - Mark found me through another site - but was able to message me freely here (a classmates type site charging for messages). Well we've been doing a crazy amount of catching up via email, and he's been helping me out here as well.

It's a good idea to put your real name in your profile - you never know when someone will type it in Google and reunite old friends 😊 Reply to this

This is too true... and if you don't want to be found, do the opposite! heh I've maintained a fair amount of privacy over the years, thus finding me can be a little difficult. But now, I'm ranking up there due to this site. You're getting some good indexing man.

So I was thinking, next time I go see my parents, which will be in August, I'm going to have to dig up an old newspaper clipping of the Holt Under 12's team, which if I remember right you're pictured in. You, me, Adrian, Jimmy, Lee... heheh I'll have to scan and post it!

Glad to see people already using the forum. Be nice to see when it picks up and catches on a bit more. Reply to this

Well the support forum is starting to get busy 😊 Mostly travelblog users which is what it is intended for.

Hmm.. I think I need to add in the email subscriptions code so that people can get updated when a new message is posted. Reply to this

that would be a good idea, or at least make it an option so if they don't want to they don't have to. Reply to this

Hey There - Better late than never, I guess. I was having some technical difficulties. I'm Jen. "Gypsie Fairy" is a nickname that was started by my dad. Basically because I can't seem to stay in one place for a long time. I am constantly wanting to go somewhere...anywhere. Anyway - thanks, Ali, for letting me help out with this. I will try my best to get some info out there. As with Mark, I don't get to get out there as often as I'd like, but I am constantly searching for ways to escape the daily grind. If nothing else...I am great at keeping in touch with many friends and family all over the world.
I do encourage anyone reading this to bring up some questions or even just topics of discussion. You all came to this site because you had SOME type of interest in traveling. The best advice I received came from asking questions rather than simply picking up a book in the "world travel" section of bookstores. Don't be shy! =O) Reply to this
