Wow - interesting report!

There is a huge difference in my opinion between buying something romantic and doing something romantic. Making a meal and nice red wine, a day spent walking in the hills, an evening stargazing - as opposed to - buying jewellery, shelling out big bucks for booked out restaurants...

U.S. wooers will spend $16.9 billion

That is an incredible amount. No wonder advertisers go into overdrive this time of year.

I agree, it's the thought that goes into it and the time put aside for the person.
