Where to stay: Ipanema or Copacabana?

Hi guys,
coming to Rio with a mate (last minute) and just looking at hostel accommodation for RIO.
The question is though, Ipanema or Copacabana?
Any thoughts or recommendations? Reply to this

Why not find a hostel around Arpoador, it is between Ipanema and Copacabana. best of both worlds! :-)

Personally I prefer Ipanema. But both neighbourhoods have a good localization, are close one to the other and have nice hostels...
Try to book the hostel before you leave - now it's high season in Rio. Reply to this
