Hey I just got back from Argentina and I made a stop in Brazil before I came home. I'm definitely not an expert on Brazil, but I think I can tell you some stuff. I went to Rio de Janeiro at the end of July and the weather was in the high 70s. It get's to be about 110 during their summer from around Nov to Feb. October should be a good time to go. Rio was really awesome, but really touristy. We were also told we should check out Salvador in the north. I've heard that many times now and am hoping to check it out someday. Another big destination is Sao Paulo, but I've heard from a lot of people that it is really big and dirty, and some say not worth the visit. Probably to get a true feeling of Brazil it would be worth your while.

We also went to Iguazu falls which is on the border of Argentina and Brazil. It is definitely an amazing site and if you get a chance should check it out. I hope that helps you a little, even though I'm not that experienced on Brazil.
