3 Month Itinerary

Trying to plan 3 months in Brazil and looking for ideas.

We are leaving Argentina in December and spending a month visiting old haunts and friends in Bolivia. Then......

......at the end of January we will cross from Cobijo to Brasilea and have 3 months to do the following:

Porto Velho
Manaus
Belem
Sao Luis
Fortuleza
Recife
Salvador
Chapada Diamantina National Park
Belo Horizonte
Ouro Preto
Brasilia
Sao Paolo
Rio

So, any suggestions for the MUST or MUST NOT dos of Brazil? We will be in Brasilea and/or Porto Velho for Carnaval time. Are we likely to see anything, or only on TV?

All hints and suggestions gratefully received.
