I'm looking to volunteer while in South America, I'm pretty flexible, and have been seeing a lot of organizations online but they all require huge fees. Does anyone have any experience volunteering low cost or free? I'm a little lost.

Reply to this i'm looking to volunteer at the moment too. Theres a company www.originalvolunteers.co.uk. They give you really good info on cheap volunteer projects. Im considering organising through them cos its a fraction of the cost of other organisations. They only ask for a couple of hundred pounds then all you do is pay for your living expenses when you're there. There are write ups in newspapers about them so i'm thinking they're legit. Check it out anyway.
