What would make a nice and appropriate gift for the family I'll be staying with in Peru.
This month I'll be going to Cusco, Peru for four weeks to do volunteer work in an orphanage. While there, I'll be staying with a host family. I know this is rather an Emily Post-ish question, but can anyone suggest an appropriate gift I might take them? Many people have suggested something representing where I live, Texas, but I can't imagine they'd really appreciate "I Shot J.R." T-shirts. I'm looking for something both nice and functional.
