salta to mendoza

Does anybody know how to arrange for a rental car in salta and drop off in mendoza? I'm having a problem getting info from the major firms.

I'll be traveling to Salta, Argentina in mid October 07; proceeding on to Mendoza hopefully by the most scenic route. I've made the usual rental car inquiries with major firms but they don't seem to offer a Mendoza dropoff or all cars are reserved. I'd really like to drive from Salta to Mendoza rather than airline or bus. Any suggestions? Reply to this
