Advice welcome to connect these three regions on a three week trip. Thanks!

Hi -- thanks in advance to anyone who can provide advice.
I'm traveling for 3 weeks in Argentina, starting in mid-June.
I've narrowed down my interests to Salta, Corrientes, and Patagonia but am not sure what is the best way to connect these 3 regions. Traveling with a budget.
I thought about first taking an overnight bus from Buenos Aires to Salta (or flying), spending a good 5-6 days there, and then taking another overnight to Corrientes.
Head back to Buenos Aires after 2-3 days in Corrientes region.
From BA, I'd really like to check out Patagonia. By this time, I'll have approx. 10 days left.
I'm not sure if the Peninsula Valdes is worth checking out at this time of year. It looks like it can be reached by bus as well.
But maybe it's worth splurging a bit and flying directly to El Calafate. Check out the glaciers, and check out Tierra del Fuego for a couple of days.
Back to El Calafate -- back to BA.
Any other advice welcome. Thanks again. JN

Hi. We spent about 10 days in the northeast with Salta as our base last August. We arrived in the northern region by train from Bolivia. Our first night in Salta was beautiful. Enjoy the great steaks and wine. We rented a car for 4 days and drove the circuit which followed Tren de los Nubes since it wasn't running. Spent 2 nights in Tilcara. Stayed at a great inn, Posada con los Angeles, moderately priced. Spent the following day exploring the ruins and driving back to Pumamarca to enjoy the stunning views and a hike. Another day took us south through magnificent scenery to Cafayate and spent the night at a very nice inn right in town. We drove back to our base and where we had stayed about 5 nights at the very comfortable and reasonable ($22/night with breakfast) Hostal Marilian (just next door to the more upscale Hotel Marilian)
We liked Cafayate so much, after we dropped off the car in Salta and stayed one night in town, we returned to Cafayate for 3 nights. We hired a cab from Salta to drive us there very reasonably. You can see the photos from the area.

We did the long bus ride back to Buenos Aires, with one night in Cordoba. We probably should have explored the area more, but were anxious to get to the big city.

Hello Jean, Noe,

My name is Nico, I´ve travelled quite a bit round the world, at the present I settle down in Salta. Have a small tourism bussiness running, so any adivice on the area I belive I can give it to you.
Nice and confy busses depart from BsAs every day to Salta and it is about AR$200 a sleeper (quite nice), takes about 16 to 18hs best to travel at night.
Recommendable companies are Balut, Flecha bus and Chevallier.
Don´t know why you want to go to Corrientes, I quite know the province, and there isn´t that many things to see, what were you thinking of? Might give you a hand with ideas.
As for el Calafate, I advice you to check on it since it is winter time already here, the National park Los Glaciares, which is the one for Perito Moreno is usually closed.

Hope to hear from you.

Saludos, Nico.
