Traveling solo in Colombia

Hello fellow travelers! I am headed to Colombia for the month of June for my first trip. I'm very excited! I am headed to Bogota and Medellin and I'm open for other parts of Colombia aswell.

I would love any suggestions anyone may have for me. If anyone has recommendation for a resonably price hotel/hostel while my stay in Medellin, that would be great. Also anyone who has done this trip solo, would love to hear your stories. As soon as I arrive to Colombia, I will start my personal travel blog with pictures and as a special treat some video.
