I am looking for a cheap Campervan hire for when I arrive in NZ Feb 08, plan to tour the 2 islands in 3.5 weeks. Please let me know of any companies to go with or ones to definitely avoid. Dont really want to spend more than £750 (NZ$2000)

Reply to this You can do it a few ways. A lot of younger tourists seem to be hiring the "Wicked Campers" - they are pretty much a funky van with a bed in the back and personally I think this is pretty cool to travel in. They are pretty cheap really, but I would say your budget would JUST fit in there. They are usually (at that time of year) about $85NZD, which is a hair over the $2,000 you want to spend.
