2 weeks in Barbados: What all can be done?

Need help with making a 2 week Barbados vacation plan.

Hello! I am planning a surprise vacation with my hubby in Barbados. Do you think April second half is a nice time to visit Barbados? Anyway, I am trying to make a 2 week plan. Is it possible to include a small Caribbean cruise(any route that lasts 5-7 days) in it? The rest will be spent in Barbados, seeing places, having local cuisine, attending any local festivals or Carnivals. I am looking to get a reservation at a <snip>. It looks awesome in the photos. If someone could give an honest opinion on that one or any other great one in Barbados, I could make the reservation as early as possible. I would like to know the personal opinion of people who have actually visited there. Also, about cruising, is there any lines that end their route at Barbados? It would be easier to make the plan.

Barbados is a great island. I've been there 5 times.
All year around is a great time to visit. Barbados is far enough south to avoid the hurricanes in the summer.

In April there is a Reggae Festival. I've never been but I'm told it is fun. Too bad you are not going in March because the Oinstens fish festival is a lot of fun.

If you rent a car the drive on the east side of the island is amazing. Some pretty good hiking also.
Barbados is an amazing island. You will have fun.

There are some good restaurants in St. Lawrence Gap.... well many other places also.
The Jolly Roger is a party boat but it is fun.
You don't really need to do much pre planning. You'll find all kinds of things to do once you get there. Hiking, scuba, shopping.

Have fun!

Barbados is sophisticated and casual, warm and friendly, and always distinctively charming.
From luxury to intimate, expensive to affordable there is something for every taste and budget here.
You travel everywhere on your budget & visit some sightseeing there. IN the evening round the beach & watch sunset here. Very beautiful and attracted Barbados environment. You can not imagine how can our days are spent here. Very nice experience. Reply to this
