concerned about how safe it would be for my 19 year old daughter ( blond hair, blue eyed beauty) to spend the summer on a mission trip with her university

having heard about the civil unrest and the governmental warnings as well as news stories of the past about kidnappings for ransom of tourists and missionarys I was very concerned to have my daughter inform us that she is planning tospend spring break on a mission trip to haiti.......any information would be greatly appreciated! Not sure if you've read your own government's travel advisories for Haiti.
Here's the Canadian one that provides suggestions on what you should do - should you insist on going there.
