Best place in Southern Island to go during Easter holida

Hi, I am currently in Wellington. I want to know best place to see in southern Island of NZ with in span of 4 days. April 6 to April 9th. Please advice. I also like to see snow. Which is the best place and best time to go?

Not sure if you'd make it to Franz Josef within 4 days but if you can its certainly worth seeing the glacier there...snow all year round!

South island is beautiful. I managed to do the whole of south island in 4 days (eventhough I would highly not recommend it). My must sees are Milford sound, Kaikoura (well the coast of it), and since you are in Wellington I'm sure you can jump on the ferry and head to Marlborough Sounds, which I heard is beautiful. Franz Josef is beautiful as well, but if you want to get on the snow (it's actually ice) you'll need to join a tour and stuff. Not really sure where there will be snow now, maybe in Queenstown?
