I've recently started a travel website and although I have been getting a decent amount of views it has become somewhat stagnant. Partially due to me being extra busy at work right now. I am reaching out for travel writers/ bloggers who would be interested in writing material for my website in return for a back-link to their blog. This hopefully being a win win scenario as I would bulk up my site a bit and a blogger earns themselves another back-link.
I've reached out to bloggers before but with limited success. To date I have only had one that has written an article, this was with the promise that I would place an advert on my site for a travel related company that they ran. My question here is what does it take to entice bloggers? Am I naive in thinking that the SEO benefits from a back-link is enough to get you writing an article for me?
Not sure whether or not this is against the rules of the forum, but this seemed like the ideal place to ask. Obviously I am not going to put my website or email address on here as I know that is against forum rules. So feel free to PM me if you want to discuss further.
