What is the situation with traveling in Bolivia at the moment. What are the safe areas to travel through? Reply to this

flooding is concentrated in the northern provinces. my friend travelled through La Paz, Oruro and the south of Bolivia with no problems during the past couple of weeks. Reply to this

dannyboy is right. I'm in Villazon, Bolivia right now, on the Argentinean border. Been in Bolivia the past month. I haven't had any problems traveling by bus at all. BUT...if you go to northern Bolivia, like dannyboy said, you may have problems. Like if you were gonna go to Rurrenabaque for a jungle tour, you're better off flying from La Paz than taking a bus. Near Santa Cruz and further north in Beni you will be pretty screwed. Other than that, you should be fine. The rainy season is coming to a close anyway. Reply to this
