Is the weather in Manaus tolerable during May-August?

I\'m thinking of spending some time in Manaus this summer (May, June and maybe August too). The bjj training in this city is supposed to be amazing.
My main concern is the weather. From what I have read Manaus is supposed to be very hot and humid. I was in Rio last summer and I had no problem but Manaus might be different.
