Hi I wondered if anyone had any advice or suggestions for the best way to cross from Arica to Arequipa? Stopped off at the international bus station when we first arrived in Arica and there were lots of people trying to get us into collectivos, we did find an Andesma booth, although the lady spoke no English ( and our Spanish is rubbish) we gathered you could buy a ticket covering the collectivos and bus combined, has anyone done this? Does it work?! do you need to pay some kind of departure tax? Any help would be great, thanks
Reply to this It's best to hire a taxi from Africa to Arequipa. You'll have to pass through customs at the border but the taxi will wait. Just don't pay him until you get there. Cost should be less than $20.
