Hello Beth and welcome to Travelblog!

I was strongly suggest that printing this visa is a good idea, and ensure you have some copies in case you misplace one. I don't have direct experience using a work visa in Australia, since I have an Australian passport, but I would do the same if I was working overseas.

If you are looking for a fruit picking job, I would recommend this government site, Harvest Trail. Reply to this

I agree with Shane. I havent had an Aussie visa but have had a US visa and had to show it on many an occassion - from drivers licence to hospital visit. So worth having a couple of copies printed 😊 Reply to this

Hi Beth!
I used to be on a working holiday visa.
A print out is not needed to enter Australia (the visa is electronic), scanning your passport at the airport is sufficient, since the visa is linked to your passport number.

However, it is highly recommended to print it, in case you loose the visa email and you need to provide proof of your working visa.

I think the most important thing is the Visa Grant number, which you should keep for your records. The visa number may be required later on, for example if you decide immigrate to Australia.

Fruit picking jobs are pretty low paid, however they enable you to travel across the country and you can find work in even more remote locations. If you are planning on living and working in cities, a job at a cafe or restaurant is probably a better idea. While the pay is not great, it is still better than what you'd get for fruit picking. Working in hospitality also allows you to get to know the locals, whereas fruit picking is mainly done by backpackers.

Fruit picking allows you to extend your visa, so if you are planning to stay for more than a year, fruit picking is recommended.

I hope this helps! Enjoy your stay in OZ!
