hi
well i'm from peru and in 14 you can visit lots of places, depends what kind of "environmetn" you want to go, now is summer and the most beautful beaches are in the north of peru, mancora, zorritos, punta sal..but if you dont like too much the beach, you can go to the mountains, although now in the peruavian andes is "the andean winter" because rains a lot, same in the jungle, you can to iquitos ( jungle) manu , cuzco definitelly, puno, wow lots of places
hope you have fun here in lima

The Inca Trail will take you around one week, with aclimatising in Cusco for a couple of days. I would definately spend one week of two doing that. It's unforgetable! Reply to this

Hello , I recommend you the following :

Peru has three kind of regions coast, valley, and jungle.

For coast : Mancora, Punta Sal and Zorritos beach. they are very nice beaches.

For valley : The Huaylas valley, 400 kilometers north of Lima, is a genuine quirk of nature, with its impressive scenes of wild countryside, and its colorful valley formed from the Black and White mountain ranges. This area of high peaks is a favourite of mountain climbers from all around the world.
Or you can go to the famous Cuzco !! The sacred Valley and Machu Picchu

For jungle: Puerto Maldonado city, the biodiversity capital of Peru. During the trip , you will see along the riverbanks caimans, turtles and other species of animals.

Definitely Cuzco, and do the Inca Trail. It's a lifetime experience, and it will take more than a week because you need to aclimatise first and then trek your way up the Sacred City. With the days left there are at least 5 great places to go, may be you'll have to choose one: Lima, which is a fantastic city; Puno and Lake Titicaca; Ica/Paracas with a flight over the Nazca lines; Iquitos; or Puerto Maldonado. If you need specific information, hotels, prices, tours, etc, access traveldm.com and contact a specialized agent.
Good luck!

Don´t miss out on Trujillo in the North. There is Chan Chan, and the Temples of the Sun and Moon (Which I found more interesting then Macchu Pichu). 15 mins from Trujillo you can stay at the beautiful beach town of Huanchaco with their famous reed boats. The Inca Trailm and the amazing mountains around Cusco can´t be missed, and Arequipa offers a great comfortable city and the worlds deepest canyons.

The typical route and more logical is to start in Lima and go south to visit Pisco, Ica(huacachina), Nazca and than head on to arequipa (cayon de colca) and than to cuzco and machu pichu. And you'll have seen the highlights of Peru. Just missing the jungle, but in 14 days ain't got enough time. Better chill out. Reply to this

In fact 14 days is not a big term for Peru. But it is enough to visit the main tourist's places of the country. Firstly I would like to suggest to visit Cuzco (as for me the greatest place of Peru), then u can go to Ica and Lake Titicaca. Also can visit Tumbes and Huacachina. Please see some photos of Peru and decide what is better to visit =)

I don't know if you made it there yet or not, but my girlfriend and I did it in 3 weeks, we were able to hike the Inka trail, which someone mentioned is a lifetime experience, visit Lake titicaca, Arequipa and spend 6 days in the amazon. Check out my website if you like, there is lots of pictures and details. http://travellingwomen.googlepages.com/ Reply to this

msereno: Thank you! You definately were able to pull off the main parts of Peru in 15 days. We didn't get a chance to see the Nasca lines and really wanted to. I guess we will just have to go back sometime. You captured some beautiful pictures. Reply to this
