We are looking for a base to explore Tuscany and a beachside town along the central/northern Italian coast for our honeymoon. Thank you for all the help!
Hi Everyone!
My fiancé and I are trying to plan our honeymoon to Tuscany for 10 days in July. We have already spent time in Florence and Sienna so we are looking to spend more time in smaller cities/towns, visiting vineyards and eating delicious food. We have also thought about splitting our time and spending part on the coast.
We are hoping to stay in villas/B&Bs and are having trouble deciding where we should base ourselves for both inland and on the coast.
For inland, we have been suggested Greve-In-Chianti. Is this a good idea? Do you have other suggestions?
What about a good seaside/beach area along the central/northern coasts?
As other background information, we are both 26, will be renting a car, and want a variety of activities (ex. biking/hiking/vineyard touring).
Thank you for all your input and happy travels!

We have booked our honeymoon and will be staying in Lake Como and near Chianti.
We will look into Viareggio and yes, the Cinque Terre is stunning! We did the walk along the 5 towns as well - stunning!!
Reply to this Hey! Have great time.
I would like to say something. A Great Way to Enjoy Tuscan Wine:
Tuscany - the beautiful place to visit in a lifetime – would not be complete without a wine tour. A visit to one of the region’s famous wineries, while staying at luxury villas, will make your trip to Tuscany the most memorable.
Well known as one of the most important wine producing regions in Italy, Tuscany is also beautiful with numerous vineyards. On your wine tour to Tuscany, you will be able to find many traditional as well as modern wineries of all sizes. The different wineries range from large co-operative organizations to small operations that have been run by a single family for generations.
