Torres worth it?

After Chalten and the Glaciar park Argentina why Torres del Paine?
17 years ago, December 31st 2006 No: 1 Msg: #9533
Thinking about dropping the Torres del Paine as 2-3 days there might not be the best move? Am breathing slowly in El Chalten and will stop over in El Calafate on route to Ushuaia. Initially planned the Chile side too but is it really not just clocking them in or is it worth it and why? How is it different from Argentinean side?
Any thoughts?

Hi,

Sorry Irena, I can´t answer your question but I am interested in hearing any answers.

We are in Valdivia, Chile now and heading down through soutern Patagonia. We are also wondering about moving on past the Torres del Paine as I hear it can get over run in January. Hoping to trek down at Isla Navarina instead.

Is it as good as people say?
