Working Holiday Visa Help!!

Necessary to prove funds entering australia with working holiday visa?
17 years ago, December 30th 2006 No: 1 Msg: #9523
hi,

i'm a Scottish guy about to head over to Australia to visit my sister and am planning on spending some time on a Working Holiday Visa doing a few jobs. Got the Visa all done and everything and i noticed the thing about having to have $5000 aussie dollars (£2200) to get the Visa.

i asked the woman on the phone and she said that sometimes they ask you to prove this at immagration when you get there.

What are people's experiences with this? Is it Strict? Is it possible to get by without proving this? Reply to this

they do ask you sometimes to prove your funds at the immigration office, however only sometimes.
Me and my mate didnt got asked for anything, if you have a sister in oz i think it wouldn't be a problem anyway and some fake bank receipt will probably do it as well ...
