2012 Carnival Rio or Salvadore?

I hear it's alot more interactive and fun in Salvadore and cheaper. Im not too worried about expensive tickets etc in Rio. What were your experiences?

I am an Australian Sydney 31 year old female, traveling solo (first time) and mixing it up backpacking (first time).

Hi Lisa,

It could take more than 24 hours by bus. I have a friend from Rio that once, went from Rio to Salvador and it took 30 hours. This was at 5 years ago, so today it may be less but still a long journey. Regarding alternatives, as there's no trains, the better solution is to get a flight. It takes aroun d two hours. Reply to this
