We are PeruRail, the train service that covers the route Cusco-Machu Picchu and Cusco-Titicaca Lake, in Peru.
Today, we would like to inform you that maintenance work of railway, which goes from Cusco to Machu Picchu, have ended. The company Ferrocarril Transandino S.A (FTSA), who was responsible for such work, informed us.
From that day on May 16, 2011 the Hiram Bingham, Vistadome and Expedition services, which leaves from Poroy station to Aguas Calientes station, and they will make their round-trip train routes again.
Therefore you will no longer use the bimodal service (train + bus) so you can live a full travel experience by train to Machu Picchu.
