I plan on taking a train from Ollantaytambo and arriving in Auguas Calientes around 3:30 or 4pm and then want to go straight to the bus station to get a ticket for the 1st bus to Machu Picchu the next morning. Does anyone know what time the bus station ticket office closes? Also, what time does the ticket office to buy tickets to MP close?

Reply to this Not really sure what time they close, but we got our bus tickets yesterday at about 4pm and they were still open. The ticket has no time indicated on it (only says it is valid fir 3 days). If you really want to catch the 1st bus, you will probably need to line up at the station by 5 AM. Some get there even earlier to secure a spot for wayna pichu. 1st bus probably leaves at 6:30? Good luck and good journey!

Reply to this you go better just to the station from where the buses to ollantaytambo leaving and catch a bus. they leave when the bus is full. the entrance to mp you can also buy just in the entrance...
Reply to this I agree with Jordan about getting there early - and suggest making Wayna Picchu your first stop when you get to MP - they only let 400 up each day.
Don't forget to take your passport because they will stamp it at the Wayna Picchu gate if you want.
