It is possible to bus it all the way home from South America?

My boyfriend and I are in South America right now and we are trying to decide if we should just bus it back to California or take a plane. It would be a lot of fun to go through all of central America and there is so much more to see. Has anyone done this and if so what do you suggest? Anything would be helpful. Reply to this

I think it would be possible, except for the Darien Gap between Panama and Colombia . . . . . you can either take a boat, or fly. Haven't bused from South America to California before, but it sounds like a fun adventure if you have the time! I imagine the further north you go, the slower and older the buses get. Reply to this

as per message 2 you can go all the way apart from the colombia/panama boarder. this section we took a boat and it was a great experience for a few days sailing through the san blas islands
if you have the time and money then definately do this - we did the same trip up to mexico a few years back and had a great time.

Good Karma? Colombia - Panama by Boat Reply to this
