I am arriving in Australia 22nd March 2010. I am travelling alone and wondered if anyone had used Oz Intro before, I just wondered if anyone can tell me whether its a good idea???

I've never heard of it but I'm Aussie so I wouldn't have needed to use it. Are you wanting it in order to find a travel companion or just to make Aussie friends? Because if you're staying in hostels you'll meet people very easily every day and Aussies are notoriously open and friendly so you'll have no trouble making friends almost immediately. 😊 Reply to this

Hi, my son is on Oz Intro at the moment and is having a whale of a time. He booked early so we had the full benefit of them arranging his visa, Aus bank account, SIM card etc but he tells me the week has been great. Done jetboating, visited Blue Mountains, surfing, bbqs work advice, aquarium etc etc and met up with some great people. They will also help you with your onward travel plans. My son and his pals are staying in Sydney for one more week as one of their friends is on Oz Intro next week then getting out of Sydney as be warned it is very, very expensive in Sydney - as he says even the cheap supermarkets are expensive! - the exchange rate is crap at the mo.
