A rare event - two Moderators in the same place at the same time - if you have a love for travel, please come along!
Yes, that is fine by me too - though I may be putting the finishing touches on my Chocolate Caramel Slice...

Don't forget all my back order rainchecks/takeaway orders 😉
Will leave the organising up to you then Shane (apart from my access over the next week or so being a bit uncertain).

And dont forget the mail orders from places like Germany. 😉
Reply to this Like Jo said, there is a Whangarei or Northland TB plan brewing. Only problem is that there is so much to see and do up here! I'll start a separate thread for that soon, but if anyone wants ideas for travelling round here, get in touch.
Have fun next weekend in Brisbane (can you bring some caramel slice home Jo?!)
Reply to this Guys,
you have a big hello from Kate and Chris. We just met in Saigon. Going to have regular TB meetings in the future...anybody want to go north?

At the very least I will bring back the recipe - and promise to attempt to recreate it for the TB Whangarei weekend. Whether or not you choose to risk eating it is up to you 😉

Thanks Peter/Kate/Chris.
Yeah, should look at possibilities for TB Asia 😉
Reply to this I've just purchased the ingredients for the caramel slice, so shall start making it in the next couple of days. Not sure if Jo will have much left by the time she flies across the ditch!
Reply to this Ali...instead of having branded TB t-shirts...can you have a private jet to have all of us flying for the caramel slice...we could party on the way...with stops in Munich, Seattle, Kiev, Manilla...and Saigon/Bangkok, HK and few more cities...Do not publicise it too much, you may need to charter the A380!
disclaimer:I want to point that the above comment is a joke and this is the only purpose of that message...except the fact tha I would truly love to be in Brisbane on the 12th but will be in another plane in another direction.
Reply to this I'll be in KL for a single night in June, so I might make another batch and bring some along with me!
Reply to this Do you know which day? I'll be in few countries in June...but going to KL from Bangkok is very easy! Even without the TB jet!
Reply to this Arriving (with Caramel Slice) on the afternoon of June 23 - leaving 24 hours later. The first day of my nine week holiday!
I'll ask Jo to publish a review of the slice here so you can decide if it is worth the journey 😉
Reply to this 23rd June...important day....this is National Day in Luxembourg. Special note...Happy National Day to all kiwis this Saturday...Jo...I know you will have a great day!
But 23rd June look dodgy for me. Mari will be in Europe...and I will be in BKK with Leslie....and damn, he got school on Thursday morning...but let check what we can do!
The week after we start our "little summer adventure"...and hopefully we'll meet Jon. Still to ealry to confirm anything...but would be cool!

How long do the slices stay good? I will be in KL some time in August. Maybe you can leave one there for me.
Reply to this The taste starts to alter after about three weeks in the fridge, so it needs to be fully consumed before then. Not a difficult task really.... 😉
Reply to this Re: #33 Positive reviews are available for a few hundred $CS 😉
Re: #34 Thanks Peter
Re: #36 Newsflash: "Average life expectancy of the Caramel Slice expected to fall dramatically according to travelblog.org forum"
Reply to this You just gave me a thought Jo - maybe I can make batches of "Travelblog Caramel Slice" and sell them for a reasonable price - it would certainly help to pay for my travels!
