kul is kuala lumpur ( malaysia) that is about 45 mins by flight from singapore.
looking for good cheap airfares to sydney and also want to know when is the best time to go to sydney.

Try air Asia.
They do cheap flights between KL and many places in Asia and Australia.
Reply to this Air Asia fly from KL to Melbourne, Perth and the Coolangatta (Gold Coast). The easiest transit point to Sydney would be Melbourne, as there are flights with the local airlines at least every hour. Also, Coolangatta is not a big airport and immigration/customs can be a bit slow at times - Melbourne usually has a faster processing rate, it is Australia's second biggest airport.
As for the best time to head to Sydney - I would pick anytime between September-April. It is a usually a traveller-friendly climate.
