Im considering traveling to NZ from the end of January through mid March and need help with budgeting.

If I obtain a working visa, is it possible to secure short term work (for maybe a week to a month)??

Can I see both islands in perhaps 1 month and work the other?

How long might it take to find a job? / where is the best place to find work at this time of the year?

How much would I need to budget per day, if I stay in hostels and buy food?

Thanks in advance!!

Heather

Hi Heather..I would try and spend a month in each island and grab some work if u can..work on the land can be seasonal but u might get some in the cities. www.trademe.co.nz has a jobs section.

Weather will be more settled then..will get hot in East Coast and down in the mid to deep south..Canterbury Otago. Reply to this
