Hi,
I am going to be in santiago soon and want to go down to Tierra del Fuego by bus.
I would also like to go to Buenos Aries and fly home from there. From Tierra to B.A. I dont have to stop but I would like to travel overland so i can see everything at least. I have about 14days from santiago to B.A. is that even possible with such a limited time frame? Advice please lovely travelers who know😊
Reply to this To see Moreno Glacier ,Ushuaia and Puerto Madryn ,starting in Santiago and finishing in BA 14days is enough time but you will be rushed. From Puerto Montt,Chile. It is possible to take a 1week boat trip through the Fiords and down Beagle Canal to Ushuaia ,Tierra del Fuego. This costs about US$500.I didn't do this trip but everyone talked so highly of it I wish I had.Ushuaia is so gorgeous its impossible to describe.Enjoy
Reply to this Hey Messy it is possible but I will warn you its a long way by bus!!!
My friend and I did it but in the reverse but this is what we did: Flew from BA to Ushuaiha and then got the bus to El Calafate to see the Moreno Glacier (amazing!) this is one of the worst bus trips I did in S America as the distance isn't great but you have two borders to cross and a sea so its a lot of getting on and off the bus. If you can get a cheap flight with Aerolinas Argentinas then I would fly!!
From El Calafate we went to Puerto Madryn to see the Whales. Depending what time of year you are there you may see Whales or penguins.
El Calafate to Bariloche.
Bariloche to Santiago
