I'm heading to Alice Springs in November and wanted to see the Ayers Rock, I'll only be there for three days, so what is the best way to explore the NT? Thanks
Reply to this Go on The Rock Tour, its a wee bit expensive but its every cent worst it! U will see Kings canon, the olgas and The Rock..
If u did have fun! I seriously loved it!
Reply to this Thanks Kathy8, Where can I find out more about the tour?
Reply to this In April we visited Alice Springs and rented a car to visit Ayers Rock and Kings Canyon. We spent 1 night in each place. The car rental was a bit expensive and they charged you for milage. However, we really loved being able to stay at each place as long as we liked. Because we stayed the night at Uluru, (Ayers Rock) we were able to see it at sunrise and sunset--breathtaking. At Kings Canyon in addition to walking the popular Loop trail we left the crowds behind and hiked part of the Gill's trail--amazing! It was a lot of driving, but well worth it.

Reply to this Hi Beavis,
You have a lot of tours to choose from that can take you from Alice Springs to Uluru and you will also see Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon.
The Rock Tour is an excellent tour and has some amazing aboriginal content in it.
There are also other companies such as Contiki, Adventure Tours Australia, Way Out Back and many more.
I know it is probably a little late now, but if you go to the following websites, they will give you a little information on the different tours and how you can book them.
