Hi!
A long 3 weeks trip in Italy?
Let's start from the North:
Cinque terre is a place you can't miss, as well as Venice. Don'go to Rimini, rather to Ferrara or Cesena, or Cesenatico....Don't miss Toscany: each place there is beautiful, from Florence to Siena to small towns like Pienza, San Gimignano, Montalcino...Well if you will visit Rome in the next trip, just rememmber: 2 days in Rome is too short!
Well Amalfi coast for sure and then travel down either to Sicily or tu Puglia...both wonderful sites with such a fantastic food!
If you move to Puglia, maybe stop in Matera too and then off course Ostuni, Lecce, Otranto.
If you choose Sicily: Taormina, Cefalù, Palermo.
Well, moreover, while Liguria (Cinqueterre), Toscana, Venice and Amalfi coast are a little bit expensive, the south of Italy is cheaper.
Anyway, try not to be in Italy in july or august as the Italians are on vacations too...it is overcrowded!
Ciao Ciao

Hi,
Vale is right...you can start from North (Liguria is very beautiful...if you want to visit Le Cinque Terre, you can also stay in a hotel in Genoa and from there you can take the ferry and visit Le Cinque Terre...or if you like you can stay in a hotel in one of Le Cinque Terre, that are: Manarola, Vernazza, Corniglia, Riomaggiore, Monterosso.
I can give you some info about the hotels there or in Genoa.
If you stay in Genoa, you can also visit Via Garibaldi and some other beautiful monuments (you can visit Genoa in 1 day or 2 days or 3 days....like you want, If you're interested I can give some advice).
Don't miss Liguria...there are so many beauties and good food! I am in the tourism sector and I can give you info if you like.

Ciao
Anna

These are a list of the eight best places in Italy . All of them are well worth visiting although some might disagree on all of them. In terms of towns these are the five best small towns and villages in Italy. Reply to this

Hi!! My name is Emanuela and i live in Rome (Italy). I'm so happy that you have chosen my country for your summer holidays!! I've just created a web site (<snip>😉 dedicated to my wonderful city and i would be happy to give you advices and suggestions. Please, for any information, write me to the mail address that you will find on the web site. I will be happy to help you!!!! In the web site you can find everything about Rome, and a lot of things that only a person who live in Rome could know! You will find pizza's courses, vespa tour, rafting on the Tiber, wine tours....
For your holiday I suggest you to spend 3 days in Rome, because it's amazing, especially during summer time. You can't miss the incredible island of Ponza (you can reach it from Anzio, near Rome, by 1 hour of ferry. Ponza is maybe on of the most beautiful places in the Mediterraean see. It's very small, fascinating, special). After that, you could go to Neaples, where you will appreciate the historical monuments of the city, the "warmth" of the people, the incredible food! From Napoli you should visit the Costiera Amalfitana (Amalfi, Sorrento, Positano). I'm sure you will love it!!!You cannot miss Sicily, with her beautiful cities like Palermo, full of history, and the incredible see (I suggest you to go to San Vito Lo Capo...it's better than Maldives!!!). If you have time it could be great to visit the island of Sardinia, which is really amazing!!! I' m very impressed that you want to see Calabria, because not many tourists know it, while it's really beautiful! The only problem is that there are plenty of good accommodation. If you want i can give you some suggestions, because i've many friends there.
Bye!
Emanuela

If you want to travel to Italy, please check out <snip> for travelling to Venice.
When going to Venice, you can go to the following places:
1.Church: go San Marco (it is free), Saint Mark's Basilica, San Giovanni e Paol, Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari . The church entrance is free but some others have fee . If you want to visit the three churches or more, you should get a card to go entry the church.
2. Museum: There are tickets to the museum for a number of famous museums in Venice , but not for all.if you want to visit two major museums of Saint Marc Square, The Doge's Palace and Correr Museum. The ticket is very expensive
3.Rialto Market and Rialto bridge in San Polo. This bridge is one of the famous symbol of Venice and has a history of more than 800 years.
4.Zattere - the road is long with the sun along the Giudecca Canal, where you will see people make the gondola in a small shipyard near Church of San Trovaso.

I think that this article can help you more information about the Venice
