Puno for a Day

Not much time in Puno. What can we do?

The flights that we're looking into buying will get us into Juliaca at 8:30AM. Then we have to fly back out of Juliaca the very next morning at 9AM. This will only give us one day in Puno/Lake Titicaca. I know that probably sounds crazy to most of you but we'd rather see some of it quickly rather than not see any of it at all.

If our flight gets us to Juliaca at 8:30AM, how long would it probably take for us to get into Puno? Will there be people able to take us out on Lake Titicaca once we get there? All the tours I've looked into say they leave around 7AM or maybe 8AM at the latest. Are there still people in Puno who would be able to take us out on the lake in the late morning or early afternoon? What I'd like to see the most are some of the floating islands.

Any advice & help is appreciated! Reply to this
