Visiting a friend in Buenos Aires in March but during the weekdays would like to meet people that would be willing to show me around Buenos Aires.
I will be arriving in Buenos Aires on March 12th and will be there until the 21st. Nights and weekends are not a problem because I will be with my friend and her family but during the weekdays I will be alone. I speak very minimal Spanish, first time in Buenos Aires and want to explore but don't know where to go, what to do, where to stay away from and looking for a friendly individual(s) who wouldn't mind showing me what the city has to offer.
Any help would be appreciated and I can give you more details of where I will be staying and contact information once the date gets closer. Anyone out there nice enough to help me out! :-)

Reply to this Hi there!
Buenos Aires is such an exciting place...lived there for almost three years and loved it! Make sure you dine either at Sigue la Vaca o Estilo Campo in Puerto Madero...visit Florida street in rush hours, listen to tango on a saturday afternoon at San Telmo, a good walk around Recoleta...email me if you need ideas
Regarding a nice, reliable person to show you around...try calling or emailing JUAN CARLOS CARABAJAL, he is a charasmatic taxi driver that will take you to all the right places with extremely reasonable prices. Hes email address is and his phone cell phone , if you are calling from outside Argentina dial .
Good luck and enjoy! ...email me if you have the chance!

Reply to this Thanks for the replies everyone! Mary, I sent you a PM, but if you didnt let me know and I will send another one. I recently just went to a Portuguese meetup (I am learning Portuguese because the family I am staying with is Brazilian) and someone there stayed in Buenos Aires for a few years to teach Tango so she gave me some pointers too! With everyones great suggestions I am sure I am going to have a great trip.
