I just recently went to Peru and I purchased several books not knowing which one in the end would prove to be the most useful.

I just recently went to Peru and I purchased several books not knowing which one in the end would prove to be the most useful. I found that Lonely Planet's Peru book was the best resource for traveling the country. Also helpful was a fold out map of Machu Picchu to navigate the ruins that I purchased at Anybody else have any good recommendations for travel books for Peru?

Exploring Cusco by Peter Frost is a good book if you plan to stay a while in Cusco and around. Also The White Rock by Hugh Thomson and The Lost City of the Incas by Hiram Bingham are great reads if you plan to explore the Inca ruins. Reply to this
