And not so far away is Vila Madalena ,get a taxi from Jardins there and spend the day walking about .Some of the brasilians in the shops in the Vila speak english and they are the best to give you advice in the areas you want Reply to this

Hi Deborah,

Did you manage to find any information? I am in a similar situation in that I plan to move to Sao Paulo in two years, but not as a designer. My criteria is similar to yours in terms of where I want to live and who I wanted to be surrounded by, but the only information I can get is Jardins - which is like their version of Knightsbridge, which may be a little boring?

Anyway, will be heading over in October for a few weeks so will check stuff out then........but if you or anyone has info in the meantime please respond.

For anyone who knows London I would say the area's I'm looking for are most similar to Nottinghill, Shoreditch, Stoke Newington (Church St) - which are all different in characteristics, but all have a vibe I am comfortable with.

Overall I'm looking for an area in Sao Paulo that is safe, 'hip', artsy and well connected. Reply to this
