Looking for information about sailing or cruise from St. Lucia to Barbados
Hello All,
does anyone have experience in a sailing or cruise trip from St. Lucia to Barbados?
This can be privately or a cruise/sailing company.
I would appreciate any suggestion or information.
Thank you
Reply to this I have been to barbados alot to visit family and havnt really seen or heard much about cruises from/to other islands. I know the trade winds are not faviable for a jurney from St Lucia to Barbados as it would be mainly upwind. My Mum sailed into St Lucia a couple of years ago after doing the Atlantic ARC rally and found it difficult to get a boat to barbados and ended up taking a plane.
If your there it might be worth taking a trip down to the yatching marina and asking if anyone needs a crew/company for the voyage.
Sorry i couldnt be of more help.
Reply to this i recently visited Saint Lucia <snip>
This little island packs a big, tropical punch with it's lush, foliage-covered mountains, a winding rainforest terrain, and a dormant yet geothermally active volcano. (The brave can drive right up to it!) The northern part of the island is dryer, less green, and home to cruise ship docks which release throngs of tourists. But the southern and western portion is all metaphor and tranquility with the epic Pitons - two volcanic mountains flanked with vibrant greenery and fed by short, daily rain spells that leave behind vivid rainbows.
