To Take or Not to Take?--That is the Question

Should a pair of rock climbing shoes be included?

I've heard, read, and seen pictures about the various opportunities to rock climb in areas of South America. For a girl, I have pretty big feet, and was wondering if I should bring my own rock climbing shoes. Not only would I be able to jump on any nearby boulder, but I also wouldn't have to go through the hassle of finding and renting a pair (or risking foot fungus).

However, is it worth the hassle of carrying them around? Reply to this

I think they are worth taking especially if you plan to climb more than once. We only did rock climbing once in SA but we couldn't get any shoes in my size so I had to use my hiking boots, certainly not the most appropriate on the rocks. Reply to this
