Where is the best place to go if you are single looking to find a travel partner that makes the long nights shorter if you will.
I am single and would prefer not to be and I have been traveling for pretty much two years so where do I go that offers the best chance of meeting someone that would be compatible with my Boheimein lifestyle.
I suppose the best place would be where you have the most fun for me I am a diver and that is the one thing that drives me to go to alot of places that are quite far off the beaten path.
So then where would the best place to meet that special someone be? Bars? restaurants? book stores? coffee shops? Where do people go when they are single and looking to find someone when they are on the road?

I think if you spend some time on the beaten track as well as off it you will meet lots of people. Go to popular travellers hangouts. Places like Goa, India and the Khao San Road in Bangkok will provide endless opportunities to meet people. There are always people at a loose end hanging out in cafes and bars in those places who are open to meeting others.

Cheers Reply to this Hi Chuck,
In the travel section of the newspaper I was reading earlier there was an article about social networking with an emphasis on travel - clubs and groups that people join to find a travel mate based on where they want to go or what type of trip they are interested in.
The writer wanted to find some new friends to spend a few days in Barcelona with, and so created a profile on
City Socialising to find two like-minded people to share it with. It worked - all three of them had a great time.
There is no romantic twist - the site just brings together people whose travel plans and personalities are similar.
Other sites mentioned at the bottom of the article are:
Travbuddy,
Companions 2 Travel,
Thelma and Louise (women only) and [url=http://www.meetup.com Meet Up.
Good luck,
J.
Reply to this Hi,
When I was single I used for few months travbuddy....great place...the idea is to meet people who travel at the same time as you to the same places...and you can meet a lot of different people...great for a drink, to party all night long, or whatever...loved it!
Would be fun if travelblog could have this option where you know where people are at the same time as you...if you wish to let the public know...
